Create a Website!

This week, we have learned how to create a website. I like and enjoy creating a website.
I realized the lesson plan is very useful for crate website. I like the websites which were teacher recommend to us. There are so many templates in those websites. I chose one to create my website which name is WIX. It is very easy to use and I just need to fill out my context in each template.

But I changed images, layout, texts what are all about my lesson. I realized the website, creating looks like create a PowerPoint. Because, when we creating the Power Point, we also need to consider the text color, images, layout, and color contrast.

Therefor, I think the website should have more design and socializing. Because, it will publish in the international and everyone can see it. So I think the Website should more interesting. And, I realized the lesson plan is the most important thing when you create a website.

Blended learning model

After this week, I have learned that what is blended learning model. This is my first time this term and I never hear that before this class module. The blended learning models, aka, hybrid models, which has the online learning and on campus learning, the teacher-guided activities and self-guided activities, the group work and individual work. For me, I never have had any experience of Blended learning. As my observation, I fond our next generation is born in a digital world. They have a lot experience of those kinds of learning. As a future art teacher, I realize that we should know how to use blended learning model to teaching them. 

Also, I think the blended learning is very helpful for the students with disabilities. I have had reminded that how to use the podcast with the students with blindness.

This week we have learned about how to create a video and upload on the YouTube. That is very funny. As a non English speaker I am so nervous about the video to record my sound. My topic is about fashion collage which has used collage in the fashion major.
Because before learning art education, my major was a designer. I realize the collage is very useful for art design. Therefor, this class I made this video. When I made it, everything is ok. But I don't know why it still could upload. I am so hurry about that.
After this study I learned a lot about how making a video.

As a future art teacher,  I will also do some video as a teacher case for teaching my students.

Storyboard
This week was teaching students make a video lesson. The fist I should write a storyboard. This is my  first time writes. I used a lot time to think which topic I would use. Finally,  I chose the Fanshion Illustration collage and I would teach students how to draw.

I made a PowerPoint to describe my lesson plan. 
I also found a video is a good example. Because my major was graphic design, I did collage every when I was taking graphic design. Also, my teacher gave us a link about taking how does collage magazine.
As a future art teacher, I realized that the video also a good tool to teach studnets.

The PODCAST
This week assignment is creating a Poscast. It is a big challenging for me. This is my fist time created Podcast. I had a lot difficulties when I created it. The first I should proficiency in Podcasts. Which are the processes. But I was so confused it, even our module had already taught the process. The second is that when I record my voice I feel so nervous. Also, when I play my recorded voice, I can not believe that is my sound. It is hard to explain what feeling at this time.  Anyway,I don't have confidence when I hear my own sound. The third is hard to manage the time. Although, last week we made a plan. But I still feel it is so hard.

I spend two days to leaned how to use Podcast. Fianlly, I got it. 
But later I had another problem what was how to upload the Podcast on to Youtube. Actually, it is not  difficult, but I still use a long time to find the way how to change form. Two hours later, I find the answer how to solve this problem.

This week I have learned about Podcast.
This is my first time hearing and learning podcast. At the first I had many problems. The biggest confusion is I don't know what is Poscat?
Best After design a podcast planning, I realized what is the Podcast.
I plan a Podcast which is about DaDa history. It include photos or slides are often called enhance podcast.
In the class, the teacher gives us seven items
Determine your audience

Determine a topic and objective

Determine a format

Determine the length of the podcast

Write a script

Choose music or sounds

Choose images

According to those items I searched a lot podcasts to assesment.
I realized the podcast is very useful for my furture. I plan to download some podcast in my phone and listening them when I taking bart.
This semester I aslo took a class which name is teaching audience in special needs. I think the podcast is helpful for students with disabilities. For example, if the students with hearing problem, the radio podcast is very good for studnets learning.

This module we talked about internet safely and may issue in the internet. One is the cyber-bullying, the other is teachers use social media communicate with students are right or wrong?The cyber bullying I think it need stop, this issue is not only in the USA but also in my country. I had some nieces they are using the internet everyday. The iPhone with they are all day. I do not think this is a god thing in their life, they are still teens, but do not have Tina. This is so terrible thing. I have a fond useful website which is talk about cyberbullying by government. I feel this website is helpful for parents and teachers to define if their students or children have cyberbullying.The second problem is about social media. I this the social media have a double side apple with students and teachers. I think the teachers need have students' social media account if the students want, but don't need to connect to them. So after this week studying I realized we need follow some suggestion from this module:
  • Never give out personal information online, whether in instant message profiles, chat rooms, blogs, or personal websites.
  • Never tell friends or anyone other than your parents your password.
  • Don't respond to mean or threatening messages. Save or print them and show them to an adult.
  • Never open emails from someone you don't know or from someone you know to be a bully.
  • Don't bully anyone.
  • Don't put anything online or in an email that you wouldn't want your classmates to see.
  • Don't send messages when you're angry. Before clicking "send," ask yourself how you would feel if you received the message.
  • Don't join in when other people are bullied online. Show bullying messages to an adult. 
  • Always be as polite online as you are in person.
And I highly recommend the parents and teacher pay attention their children and students did they have issues on the internet.This model also gives some cyber-bully methods include:
  • Sending malicious email and text messages.
  • Sending someone's personal or embarrassing information to others.
  • Breaking into accounts and sending inappropriate messages as if the messages were from the account owner.
  • Posting or sending images of people without their permission.
  • Excluding someone from social networking groups or blocking their email or text message without cause.

In model 7,  I learned how to create a wiki page. My choose is wiki space. This is my first time to do it. It is so difficult for me. I had many problems with different steps. But I also feel it similar with Blog. But the Blog can be more entertainment. So the first class design on wiki is about teaching art with special needs. Why I choose this topic design, because I realized that although the students with disability, but they also can be a artist.

My class plan:


  • Your wiki topic
        teaching arts
  • Target participants
        students with disability (young children)
  • How you plan to monitor the wiki. In other words, will you monitor the wiki or ask someone else to monitor?
        I will monitor the wiki and the parents who have children with disability 
  • What will the monitor assess? 
        The monitor will access parents to discussion, and I will respond their questions
  • What will be the course of action should the monitor find inappropriate content or use of the wiki?
       If any inappropriate content or use of the wiki is found it will be determined
  • Which wiki software you will use and justification for your choice

Photos and Editing

This week I learned how to use technology to edit the digital photo. Before this module, I never consider that how to use the photo and edit photo is necessary. With my prejudice, I think the photo just for entertainment, and Photographic is for Photographer. I don't need to consider the photographic technique when I take photo. But now I realize I am wrong, the photo technology  is how important in our life, even in the Art Education.
According this module, and to be a art teacher in the future. I could be teaching art history, art skill. But how can I explain my curriculum and concept to students? The context or PowerPoint? I think picture is the first and direct way to introduce my class. But how can I made a good picture in my future teaching life. I think this module reached me a lot and I also did some practice in the module. Such as PS my photo to highlight my main concept in the photo, and use camera to take photo, because usually I use my phone.
There are some photos I did in this module, I had a lot fun while doing the edit on my original photo. And I also posted those photos on my social app, it got a lot good responds, and my fried told me that I had a big improved on the photo technology.

This photo was took from last year, when my family came to see me. This was in morning time, I brought a cup coffee , and enjoy the time with my family. My cousin saw a display of old car, she was so interesting in this exhibition. So we took so many photo from this car display. This picture is the original photo what I took.






After learning this class I realize that I took a lot beautiful car photos at this car display, but many photos have had problems, such as composition, exposure, main subject unclear, and etc. So I tried to fix it. This photo is a PS photo from the first picture.

After this week, watched a lot multimedia knowledge. I realized that I did some wrong when I made powerpoint. So according this module I renewed my powerpoint about history of art education. Compare those two PPT I think the renew one is more clear and powerful.

For me I will more agree with David Byrne. Because I am a designer, I like use image to talk my idea. When I do presentation I will fond some picture to support my idea. But the in the art education it is a conversion cafe, various roles inside. So the Powerpoint is a communication tool to translate the message. If use in the right it can exact translate but if the images or words are not exact, the students will accept wrong message.

For me, I consider that when I teachering students I will use powerpoint on my art class. On the PPT use simple words, image and animation can helps students understand the art history and project. Also, using PPT I will have more confined in class, because I will know my next plan. But the class communicate also very important. Students can exchange ideas and I will know how they understand on my class.
At the end of the class we talking about the copyright. For me I think the copyright law is right. It protect original design, Also push people to creative new design.

On this module, I realized that I did many mistake before on my powerpoint. This class told me how to fix it and give example, it is very helpful when I to be a art teacher.

Module 4 of Art Education Technology:
This module is teaching our how to use Excel. As a student, I like my teacher give me a standard at the begging of the seamster. It helps me understand how I can get grades. Change the role, if I will be a teacher I will also give my students standard. I realized that will not only help students learning also  give me a standard on teaching experience.
In this class our teacher give me some recommend on Excel use of art class. I feel it is very useful for me. Here are the list:
   Record and calculate grades
   Record student attendance or participation
   Keep track of supplies/inventory
   Establish program budgets
   Keep track of income and spending
   Keep track of various types of donations
   Keep track of employee and/or volunteer hours
•  Create charts to graphically represent data

Actually, I am so lazy. Usually, I do not have plan in my life. So, I alway lost key or forgot my document.  This week I learned a lot about collection. It is very helps me to schedule my life or if I will be a teacher, establish good body image to my students is necessary.

Integrating Technology into Art Education



This blog was started to record my learning experiences in the technology class.

Before this class I ever thought of applying technology in art class. I have not studied the relevant knowledge. I always felt that in my life technology most is on entertainment. But now I have a new view of technology which could be better used in the study.

In the first module, I know some of the history and development of technology in to eduction. Although, mostly I was using Google account for entertainment. In this class was the first time I use Google Docs documenting share their own documents. Through this lesson, I also know the difference between web1.0 and web2.0.

The second module was unreadable for me. I and JIAYUN made a art class plan on Goole Doc about Chinese ink painting. After this cooperation we are getting more close. Usually if I have a assignment about design a class with a partner, we will make an time to discuss and exchange idea. And finish together, but this way will waster our to much time. Then in the classroom to explain our class design But most of the time on this lesson, we are done online directly. And use Google Docs share our project to classmate and teacher. This approach is the first time I used, I find it very interesting and very expediently.

The third module is about to set up a blog to interact each others about art education. To be honest this is the first time I realized that Blog can be a teach tool. About the blog, I do not have much experience, I do not like writing, so most of them I used it to see my friends. After these days trying I find there are multi-purpose of blog. Not only can be used for entertainment, the students, parents and teachers, museum, artists also can use Blog as a learning platform for exchange ideas.

I am still looking forward to the future modules.
